SoundWire Class Driver Specification Creation
MIPI Software Working Group is forming a Sub-Group to develop a specification providing and enabling creation of Class Drivers and Software for SoundWire Audio Hardware.
This Audio Class Specification provides ability for OS Vendors to enable in-box (Class) drivers and software to support standardized SoundWire hardware
The specification will use portions of the USB Audio 3.0 and BADD specifications as the foundation and to provide synergy and equivalence
Software Working Group Develops the specification and conducts ongoing reviews with LML SoundWire working group
Software Working Group will work with the USB DWG during development
Both the LML SoundWire working group and the Software Working group ratify the specification
Software Working Group owns the content and publishes with board approval
The Specification Developed would be made available to non-MIPI members via Public MIPI.org website presence
