I won't spoil the ending here, but it leaves quite a lot to be desired. To me, the book cover shows how 57-years-old Landon flashbacks to his senior year when he was a 17-year-old. Unfortunately Landon would soon learn something that would turn his world upside down. It was really nice to take that piece of the character away with me. He and Landon have an elaborate special friendship handshake -- including a pantomime of smoking a joint -- and there's an unintentionally hilarious moment when, after an exchange of sympathy and support, they soberly go into their handshake moves. The plot is predictable enough, even if you haven't seen the movie.
It is great for young adults and adults, because I don't think children would understand it. I particularly love the stark contrast between Landon, the bad boy gone good, and Jamie, the devout Christian girl who is everything nice on the surface and with closer inspection, a strong character whom I f My first Nick Sparks book, a beautiful one too. Girls, if you have not watch it, please, spend 2 hours to watch it and you will see real love is still out there and waiting for you to look for it. Landon grovels a little, and she comes to his aid, although he still doesn't want to be seen with her in public. And Jamie was just such a sweetheart I couldn't help but like her.
Although I had not seen the movie myself, I was able to make an educated argument against it based on the concerns you outlined. Keep up the good work! It is impossible for me not to like this little film, because I am an insufferably romantic female and A walk to Remember has romance in a monumental dosage. First off, I would like to praise the book cover. I watch this movie over and over again. I gave it 10 out of 10 for a single simple reason: whatever its flaws, it made me cry unashamedly and that's something that not a lot of movies can claim, in all honesty. Nicholas Sparks used to be too mainstream and overrated an author for my taste. Neglect pushes Landon to develop a rebellious streak, and at the start of the story he is both adrift and certain, confident and susceptible to peer opinion in other words, a typical teenager.
In 2012, Sparks and his publishing agent and creative partner Theresa Park, launched Nicholas Sparks Productions, with Park as President of Production. Aside from the movie's undying message, there are some slight flaws. Jamie carries a wisdom manifested from her faith and her life experiences. The whole begins with a stupid little joke that turns out bad which leaves Clay Gephardt Matt Lutz in the hospital, and popular kid Landon Rollins Carter Shane West in a whole lot of trouble at school. I have to admit a lot of tears were involved both sad and happy during this particular scene. You don't even have to admit to anybody that you watched it and liked it, but I encourage you to watch it all the same without prejudice.
I like the book better than the movie. His father is a wealthy man and he has totally forgotten about his son. Certainly the last person in town he thought he'd fall for was Jamie Sullivan, the daughter of the town's Baptist minister. I can't imagine the film having much success at the box office. Instead, I stumbled upon reading this love story book. Once again, director Adam Shankman has foisted upon the public a production so narrowly targeted that a majority of movie-goers will ignore its existence.
No boy had ever asked her out. The main theme of the story has to do with the fact that Jamie sees potential in Landon that no one else has acknowledged all his life — he is special and can do just about anything that he sets his mind to — and she tells him so. Reconciliation and a hint at forgiveness come later. The story about high school love ,with a sad twist. And I liked how they showed the transformation of Shane West's character.
A Walk to Remember is a beautiful love story which I enjoyed. All of his books have been New York Times bestsellers, with over 105 million copies sold worldwide, in more than 50 languages, including over 75 million copies in the United States alone. Jamie has the faith that Landon lacks. When events thrust him into her world, he begins an unexpected journey he'll never forget. Jamie shows people the other way to go about things. This movie's core message is that love can and will conquer all obstacles.
There's nothing remotely memorable about this walk. . I cannot choose between the book and the movie. I knew there was a book, but I only had a chance to read it recently. Nicholas Sparks might as well be telling me that because I picked this book based on my friend Patrick who has been insisting that this is the best Sparks.
Jamie Sullivan is a jewel of a girl. Hard to imagine, but Landon finds himself dateless for the homecoming dance and as much as he doesn't really want to ask Jamie to go with him as he knows everyone will talk about him, but he figured it was better than not having a date at all. I am a sappy girl like that sometimes. I c A Walk to Remember details the story of Jamie Sullivan, a preacher's daughter who seems to know everything, and Landon Carter, the boy who would never be tempted by Jamie in real life. And I think it is great to watch a movie that makes you cry and smile all at the same time, and yet come out with such a happy feeling. It makes you feel like you want to become a better person, and not be so selfish, self-centered, and makes you realize that there more important things in life.
